[Before starting engines]

1=SCNS/GPS - Set.

2=Radios - On/Set (request start clearance).

3=Lights - Set.

4=Fuel Quantity- Checked

5=Ramp and Door Controls - Check

6=Parking Brake - Set, remove chocks.

7=Throttles - Ground Idle.

8=Flap Handle - Set (confirm to setting on gauge).

9=Chocks - Removed.



[Starting engines]*

0=Clear/Start #3 Engine.

1=Remove External Equipment (ground power cart).

2=Clear/Start #4 Engine.

3=External Equipment - Removed.

4=Clear/Start #2 Engine.

5=Clear/Start #1 Engine.

6=Secure Crew Entrance Door.



*NOTE - The PAD model autostart switch starts the engines in 1-2-3-4 sequence. Use the individual engine start switches if you want to simulate the correct start sequence as shown above.



[Before taxi]

0=Compass System and Heading Indicators - Checked and Verified.

1=Radios and Navigation Equipment - Set (all necessary radios, instruments, and RADAR altimeter on).

2=IFF/Transponder - Checked/Standby.

3=Flaps - Set 50% (for takeoff).

4=Autopilot - Set required flight data - master switch OFF

5=Instruments - Checked.

6=GPS - Checked.

7=Altimeters - Set (local setting).

8=Taxi Light - On.



[Taxi]

0=Brakes - Tested

1=Instruments - Checked (proper movement and displacement during left and right turn).



[Before take-off]

0=Safety Belt/Shoulder Harness - Fastened/Unlocked.

1=Trim Tabs - Set, 5º nose up.

2=Flaps - Set, 20º for takeoff. (2 notches)

3=Flight Controls - Checked (freedom of movement).

4=Crew Briefing - Completed (include TOLD, departure instructions, and takeoff emergencies).

5=Instruments - Set (for departure).





[Lineup]

0=Exterior Lights - Set (extend and turn on landing lights).

1=IFF/Transponder - On/Set.



[Take-off]

0=Hold Brakes and Set Takeoff Power (100% RPM, do not exceed max torque).

1=Release Brakes.

2=Takeoff Speed (110-120 KIAS depending on weight), Rotate/Establish 10 Degrees Nose Up.



[Climb out]

0=Landing Gear - Up (upon positive indication of climb).

1=Flaps - Up (after gear retracts).

2=Taxi/Landing Lights - Off and Retract.

3=Accelerate to 180-200 KIAS for Climb.

4=Trim for climb or switch on autopilot.



[Cruise]

0=Climb to Cruise Altitude.

1=Adjust throttle to Cruise Speed (320 KTAS - 340 KTAS)

NOTE - The indicated airspeed (IAS) will depend on your altitude.

2=Trim for cruise or switch on autopilot





[Descent]

0=Crew Briefing - Complete (brief weather, airport, approach, and emergency information {if needed}

1=Landing Data - Checked.

2=Safety Belt/Shoulder Harness - Fastened/Unlocked.

3=RADAR Altimeter - Set (for approach).

4=Altimeters - Set (local setting).



[Before landing]

0=Altimeters - Set (confirm local setting).

1=Flaps - Set (50% for approach, 100% for touchdown on short final).

2=Landing Gear - Down (after flaps are set and confirm 3 green {approach speed 140KIAS, touchdown 100KIAS}).

3=Lights - Set (landing and taxi lights on).

4=ADI and Flight Director - Set (for approach).



[After landing]

0=Contact Ground Control.

1=Flaps - Up.

2=Unnecessary Equipment - Off (IFF/transponder and unnecessary nav/comm radios).

3=Lights - As Required.

4=Shutdown Symmetrical Engines (as needed).



[Shutdown]

0=Nosewheel and Parking Brake - Centered and Set.

1=Lights & beacons off

2=Engine Shutdown - Complete.

3=Avionics - Off.

4=Battery off

5=Exits - Clear/Insert Chocks (after propellers stop rotation).

6=Parking Brake - Released.
